SMS Opt-In and Consent
Messages are sent by Forensic Psychology Associates to patients who voluntarily opt in to receive informational text messages about their appointments. Messages may include appointment confirmations and reminders, scheduling or rescheduling information, and other appointment-related communications.
Patients opt in verbally by telephone. When a patient calls our office to schedule an appointment, the patient provides a mobile telephone number. Our receptionist asks: “Would you like to receive text messages from Forensic Psychology Associates regarding your appointments? Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You may reply STOP to opt out at any time or HELP for help. SMS Terms are available at https://psylaw.com/sms-terms and our Privacy Policy is available at https://psylaw.com/privacy. Receiving text messages is optional and is not required to receive our services.”
Only patients who verbally agree are enrolled to receive SMS messages. Patients who decline may continue to receive services and schedule appointments without receiving text messages.
